Yours If You Want It

God’s love is unconditional. He sees both our beauty and our darkness. Unconditional love does not mean our mistakes, flaws, faults and outright sins are all just fine and He overlooks them – He doesn’t. And He certainly has the right to judge our behavior and misbehavior. Unconditional love means He sees all of these things, still does what is right, and still loves us passionately, endlessly, and relentlessly no matter what He sees or what happens. The love simply does not stop. EVER.

If we accept Christ’s victory over death on our behalf, then we get to experience that unconditional grace deeply and personally. Even if we refuse the unconditional forgiveness, the unconditional love is still there for each one of us – but the grace and peace are right there, so why not just take the win?

God loves each of us with the same relentless love, Christian or not. And I believe His heart breaks daily when those He loves choose turn away from Him. And yet still He loves. Everyone. Unconditionally. Eternally.
